makes a lot of sense for businesses to adopt prepaid
service in lieu of postpaid contract plans; it limits the expense, and
enables
individual liability for personal use.

reign as the only iPhone carrier in Canada. Now we just need to wait

I included this item due to the news
surrounding the announcement, however, unless I’m missing
something, given that
MetroPCS launched its prepaid BlackBerry a good year ago, this is
somewhat of a
joke, no?

can’t seem to identify
its benefits, and wireless startups haven’t had a good track
record as of late,
but only time will tell.

from 12 to 10 cents per minute. Page
Plus has really made some big moves this year, and I believe they can
be seen
as a serious prepaid contender.

enters the prepaid broadband market with a day pass, weekly, and
monthly
plan. While the
pricing is nothing to
get excited about, with the more entrants into the prepaid
broadband market the better the chances of long
term benefits for customers.

EXACTLY. Glad to
see more entrants, but
would have liked to see some more innovation; oh well.
Sprint Nextel Completes
Acquisition Virgin Mobile USA

closed the acquisition
Virgin Mobile USA
after shareholder
approval. 2010
should be an interesting
year for Virgin and Boost, though don’t expect any material
integration of
these two brands or operations in 2010.
